Containers made of stainless steel Gastronorm

Professional Gastronorm containers Made in Italy

Professional Gastronorm containers represent the reference standard in professional catering. They are entirely Made in Italy to ensure build quality, reliability and long service life in every phase of use.

GN containers are used for food preparation, storage, cooking, transport and display in professional kitchens, laboratories, canteens, hotels and catering. All models available on Gastronorm are manufactured in Italy using food-safe materials.

Thanks to standardised dimensions, Gastronorm containers are compatible with ovens, refrigerators, cold rooms, trolleys, bain-marie units and display systems designed for the GN system, even from different manufacturers.

Made in Italy production ensures high quality standards, attention to detail and full compatibility with the needs of modern professional catering.

What is the Gastronorm GN standard

The acronym GN identifies the Gastronorm standard. The reference size is GN 1/1, from which multiples and submultiples derive. All sizes are modular and fully compatible with each other.

Gastronorm container dimensions (mm)

• GN 1/1 = 530 × 325 mm (base size)
• GN 2/1 = 650 × 530 mm (multiple)
• GN 1/2 = 325 × 265 mm
• GN 1/3 = 325 × 176 mm
• GN 1/4 = 265 × 162 mm
• GN 1/6 = 176 × 162 mm
• GN 1/9 = 176 × 108 mm
• GN 2/3 = 354 × 325 mm
• GN 2/4 = 530 × 162 mm
• GN 2/8 = 325 × 132 mm

GN 1/1 is recognised as the base size of the Gastronorm system. Submultiples allow flexible combinations while maintaining perfect compatibility.
